Dana Scinto is an industrial artist with an engineering background. Through the study of classical and postmodern ideals, she forms the unpredictable backdrops of her unusual art. Her vivid and colorful creations emerge from a number of different materials, including but not limited to concrete, wood, metal, plastics and industrial coatings. Since 2002, Dana has been a member of Stamford, CT’s non-profit Loft Artist Association. In January 2005, she took the lead as president of this 80 member artist commune. Recently, Dana began self-publishing some of her series on the internet. Her work can be found in both private and corporate collections in Connecticut, New York and Florida.
